Just a quick post here.
I just wanted to encourage my readers in doing some spiritual/meditational reading this Lent. A great book for this would be The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ by Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich. Bl. Anne was a German mystic and stigmatist of the 19th Century, who had many visions of the life of Our Lord and Our Lady. Apropos to Lent, she had many visions on the Passion of Christ, which were written down and collated into a book. I would HIGHLY encourage my readers to buy this book and read it. Mel Gibson's film, The Passion of the Christ, was based on Bl. Anne's visions. I bought my copy from Baronius Press, but I am sure you can find other versions on Amazon or in a local Catholic bookstore, or you can read it online HERE if you so wish. It is a perfect Lenten spiritual read. I try to make it a yearly Lenten read, if I can.
