VATICAN CITY, August 14, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — Pope Francis has downplayed the subject of the married priesthood as a priority at an upcoming synod.

In an August 6 interview with Italian newspaper La Stampa, published August 9, the pontiff said the Synod on the Amazon is the “child of Laudato Si’.”

“Those who have not read it will never understand the Synod on the Amazon,” he told his interviewer Domenico Gasso, Jr.

“Laudato Si’ is not a green encyclical. It is a social encyclical, which is based on a ‘green’ reality, the stewardship of Creation,” the pontiff continued.

Commentary: At the end of the article, a few lines are given regarding Francis' views on the EU. It says:

He said he was concerned by a focus in Europe on sovereignty, which he called “an attitude of isolation.”

“I am concerned because one hears speeches that resemble those of Hitler in 1934,” he said.

I don't think I need to state that Francis is infamous for disliking any notion of nationalism, patriotism or even hearing about the Christian roots of Europe. Francis also is well known for hating any idea of borders, and even had the Vatican pay $500,000 to help the caravans of migrants in South and Central America illegally enter the United States. It must be noted that a growing majority of these migrants are being trafficked to the US, including children (which is why children are separated from the adults they are with so Border Security can make sure they are the children's parents). So, the Vatican has just facilitated human trafficking, whilst ironically complaining about human trafficking.

But one has to ask the question: Since Francis loves and even calls for world government and for the end of nation-states, I presume he will be handing over the keys to his own kingdom: Vatican City. Or, does he naively think that Vatican City is going to be safe?
