Commentary #6: Gay Traditionalists?

The above is the headline of a Catholic Militant article that caught my attention. Naturally, I was intrigued as to what lay within the lines of the article.

The short article, which contains a video of a Download episode on the same subject, reveals a situation in the Church that certainly opens the eyes even more wide than before, if such a thing is even possible. This situation is that the Church is so permeated with what Michael Voris of Church Militant terms the "homo-heresy", that even an area most thought to be outside the homo-heresy is drawn under the rainbow. 

What I mean to say is that even the Traditional Latin Mass is permeated with homosexuals, and a quote re-produced in the article from a priest's email explains that many TLM music directors are homosexual. Not only that, but even the annual CMAA Sacred Music Colloquium has had homosexuals are allowed to visibly participate in such an event, with explicit approval and knowledge of their lifestyles. 


It rather makes one fall into a state of melancholy to have to be made aware that even the TLM is not bullet-proof, or rather "gay-proof". Though, it probably is not surprising that homosexuals are to be found in the TLM, especially when one considers that the TLM is very ritualistic, very colourful, and contains within it pomp and ceremony, that homosexuals, especially the militant ones anyway, are known to be attracted to. If one witnesses a gay prides parade, everything has a plethora of colour and pageantry. 

It also makes one gravely aware that since the TLM is not "gay-proof", it also, logically, means that there is very much active homosexuals attending the TLM who engage in sodomy and who, because of their erroneous beliefs about themselves, most likely never seek absolution from the Church for engaging in such acts. This concludes a rabbit hole that ends with the sobering and frightening fact: the TLM is not a guarantee of personal holiness, nor are those in attendance necessarily holier than those who never attend the TLM.

In deed, the Download episode in the article contains a clip from a speech given by Fr. Chad Ripperger, a traditional priest of the FSSP and a well known exorcist, in which he says that, in many cases, attendee's of the TLM are more unholy than Catholics who regularly attend the Novus Ordo. In a rather strange paradox, though Confession is more offered in the TLM than at the regularly Novus Ordo parish, yet most traditionalist Catholics are more likely to be gravely sinful against the Sixth Commandment (that is, sins of impurity) than Novus Ordo Catholics, for example.

It also raises the question: since there are evidently active homosexuals within the TLM faithful, are there active homosexuals in the TLM clergy? 

A rather frightening thought.
